What our clients say:

Our sales are up 15% year over year, and Montgomery Code has been the engine behind our marketing the entire time; the brand, the websites, the ads, the content, all of it. We've grown our headcount by 50%, launched four brands, and shown up at national tradeshows ready to compete. We move fast, and we couldn't do any of it without them.

The Challenge

Uniting three legacy gear manufacturers into one platform, now four brands strong.

Unify three legacy gear manufacturers into one credible, growth-ready national platform.

Vector Companies came to Montgomery Code in July 2023 with a clear and ambitious goal. The Adams Company (founded 1883), Atlas Gear Company, and Atlas Global were three specialized gear manufacturers operating across Iowa and Michigan, each with deep capabilities, strong customer relationships, and a growing portfolio of complex work. The opportunity was to bring them together under a unified platform identity and build the brand and marketing infrastructure to match where the business was headed.

OEM buyers in industrial motion control increasingly evaluate manufacturers online before ever making contact. Vector had the manufacturing depth to compete for serious programs, from gears and shafts to custom components, low-volume and high-volume alike, and the leadership to back it up. What they needed was a brand system, digital presence, and content engine that could tell that story at scale.

They were ready to build it and needed a partner who could keep pace.

The Results

Brand architecture, four conversion-focused websites, paid search and LinkedIn ads, and print and trade show creative for a growing platform.

Build a house-of-brands from the ground up, then scale it as the platform grows.

Montgomery Code started by learning the business before building anything. Competitive benchmarking across gear manufacturers gave us a clear picture of the landscape and shaped the entire build sequence.

Each brand got a distinct positioning: The Adams Company anchored in craftsmanship and legacy, Atlas Gear Company built around speed and responsiveness, and Atlas Global oriented around scale and supply chain control. All three were visually unified under the Vector platform with a shared design system, logo suite, and messaging framework.

We built conversion-focused websites for each brand with aligned domains, social handles, SEO infrastructure, and product-level page architecture designed to capture search demand. Paid media followed, with Google Ads campaigns across brands covering gear manufacturing, shaft manufacturing, and custom component search terms, generating over 1.28 million impressions and 45,000+ clicks. LinkedIn ad strategy was developed brand by brand, with creative matched to each brand's unique value proposition.

On the content and print side, we produced the Vector Companies’ brochures, direct mail pieces, ongoing social content, and trade show creative. Vector showed up at three national tradeshows with a brand presence that matched the quality of what they were making on the floor.

When Vector acquired Northend Gear & Machine in 2025, we moved alongside them. Northend's brand, web presence, and content were built into the platform as a fourth brand without breaking stride. That's how this partnership has worked from the start.
